I didn’t think I would end up as a web designer much more as an Internet marketer. After finishing high school I didn’t know what to take up in college. My loving mother suggested Accounting but I only lasted for a few months. Then I think the next course I took was Industrial Engineering but I wasn’t really interested so I also lasted for only a few semesters.

In that time I was also getting interested in drums. I don’t know why but whenever I’m drumming I feel like I’m on the top of the world. The drum bug really got to when my drum teacher told me to listen to Carter Beauford (drummer of Dave Matthews Band).

After that I knew what I wanted to do with my life.

I made a commitment to improve my drum skills on a daily basis and eventually enrolled at a university that offers a diploma for music. I didn’t really like their classical approach and I only stayed there for a year. I tried accounting, engineering and music but nothing was working out for me.

After that I’m not sure if I really wanted to continue studying. I didn’t even know what course to take. One thing that I’m sure is that I want to play drums for the rest of my life. I love grooving and it makes me happy whenever I see people move their heads to the sound of the drums.

So I followed my passion and decided to look for a job as a drum teacher. I had fun teaching drums but my mother asked me for the last time if I can continue college and finish it. So at the age of 23, I started college again and took up BS Information Technology. College was hard but I eventually finished my studies.

That was one of the happiest days of my life. That’s also the time when I got to discover the power of the Internet. After college I worked as a web programmer for almost 2 years. I quit my job because I got tired of the daily grind. I also didn’t like the idea of working for someone else to make them rich.

After different attempts of freelancing and working from home, I stumbled upon the idea of making money online while promoting products of other people. SCAM was the first thing that came through my mind. Can you really make a full-time income while only sitting in front of a PC?

I tried it out but I miserably failed because my intentions and mindset were totally wrong. What really made me believe that all of these things were possible is after I joined the Wealthy Affiliate University back in July ’09. After that I’ve never been so focused in how I want to lead my life. As of now, there’s no looking back.

PS. I’m still going to play drums for the rest of my life even if it kills me. That’s why I’m an Internet marketer.
