Top 6 Internet Marketers That I Look Up To

by Raymond Selda

When I started to get serious in playing drums, I searched for drummers that would inspire me. I listened to them and copied their drum licks so I could somehow emulate and learn from them.

Now that I’m an Internet marketer, I also want to look for someone that I could look up to. Someone who’s not only talking that talk but someone who’s also walking the walk.

In this post, I’m going to share a special breed of Internet marketers. They all started with little or no financial investment to build their successful and profitable online businesses. The only investment they made was their time and effort.

Let’s take a look at 5 of my favorite Internet marketers:

Travis Sago

I would definitely recommend anyone to sign up with Travis Sago’s mailing list and learn the Bum Marketing Method. Actually his wife called it the bum marketing method because the technique is so easy that they could take a bum off the street, take him to a public library and have him earning in a few weeks.

I really got to learn more about Travis when I joined Wealthy Affiliate over 5 months ago. He has written many posts inside the WA forum that are both inspirational and educational. I thought that he was just like any other marketer but it turned out that he just wants to help out people who want to make a difference with their lives.

I think he doesn’t have a public blog but you can reach him through e-mail by signing up to his mailing list. You can also check out his Youtube channel to learn some of his bum marketing techniques.

Pot Pie Girl (Jennifer Ledbetter)

Jennifer is also a member over at Wealthy Affiliate. She’s very proficient in using Squidoo and writing lenses for her marketing campaigns.

She also wrote the One Week Marketing action plan which is a wonderful guide on how to get started with article marketing. Jennifer is one of those few marketers who are willing to go out of their way just to help out people in getting started with Internet marketing. Just like Travis, she helps around the WA forum on a regular basis.

Josh Spaulding

I forgot where I first heard of Josh but so far I’m loving everything that he’s writing on his blog. There’s a post where he shared his keyword research strategy and it’s the one that I’ve been using together with the more basic ways. He uses the SEO Book keyword tool and suggests to look for terms that have an overall daily searches of 100 for long tail keywords. When checking the competition, what he does is that he takes the average Page Rank of the top 10 results. If the average PR is 3 or less then you should keep that keyword but if it’s higher than 3 he won’t use that term.

I suggest that you head over to his blog and you’re definitely going to find some really nice articles that will help you in your Internet marketing business.

Ian Hollander

Ian who? You may have never heard of Ian Hollander but he’s also one of the few Internet marketers that really offers a lot of value with his free stuff. Some of the most important things I’ve learned from Ian is how to write enticing titles, informative content and writing resource boxes that has a 50% or higher click through rate. I’m still learning how to write those kind of resource boxes and Ian provides lots of tips that can help you achieve more success for your articles.

David Bocock

David is the creator of the 4 Day Money Making Blueprint which I highly recommend if you’re just beginning to make money online. I’m subscribed to his mailing list and he just continues on to provide good information. He’s not like those typical marketers who just pitch you everyday with products that they didn’t even use. What I also like is how he reviews different products on whether it can help with our article marketing efforts.

Glen Allsopp

Glen is the reason why I’m an Internet marketer. Thanks Glen! It all started when he shared his step-by-step method on how anyone can start making money online by promoting products of other people. He also runs a highly popular personal development blog called PluginID and he also released his own product called Cloud Living.

I consider these folks as my mentor and I take a really close look on what they’re doing. In short, I TRUST THEM. I’m very grateful for the knowledge that they’ve shared and are continually sharing. It’s important to have someone that you can follow and look up to especially if you’re just starting out with Internet marketing.

How about you? Who’s your top Internet marketers?
