The SEO Method Review – Is David Jenyns A Scam?

Why would someone reveal a guaranteed strategy on how to get top rankings in search engines? It’s because of the simple fact that there’s enough for everyone and no single person can dominate all the keywords.

Many people think that you need to be a rocket scientist in order to understand and implement SEO. You already know that anyone can position themselves into the top of search engine listings but the problem is that they’re keeping their SEO strategies to themselves. Even if they released their methods, chances are it’s going to be very expensive for those who are just starting out.

Now, things are about to change.

David makes a very big promise that his SEO course will teach you how to get top search engine rankings on Google, Yahoo and Bing. This my review of The SEO Method and so far I’ve done a lot of investigating and found out that David Jenyns is not really your normal SEO guru.

Frustrated With My Traffic

I’ve been using article marketing to drive traffic to my niche sites but I’ve been frustrated with the results. Most of my articles were not even showing up for their keywords in search results. Even if my articles show up in listings, my resource box won’t be enough to make people click through my site. I have basic knowledge in SEO but what I didn’t have was an SEO strategy for ranking a new website.

Although I was desperate for traffic, I wasn’t intentionally looking for anything related to SEO but when I was browsing online, I accidentally stumbled upon The SEO Method by David Jenyns. I got interested so I decided to check it out and quickly saw David’s ambitious headline. I then searched for some reviews and landed on a forum discussion where he initially launched his SEO method and I was really surprised by the interaction and positive feedback.

Based on the reviews, I was convinced so I decided to buy The SEO Method with the assurance that I can get a refund in case the content was all hogwash. Here are the 3 main videos that you can find inside:

The SEO Method Video 1 – How Search Engines Work

If you’ve been doing SEO for a few years now then you might find this video boring but nevertheless David does a good job of explaining how search engines work. I still got a lot of out of watching this video and this is a must for every serious SEO beginners.

The SEO Method Video 2 – On Page and Off Page Optimization

David then goes on to explain the optimization factors for a web page. I like it when he says that there are no hard rules when it comes to how search engines really rank a web page but he will give out some general rules of thumb to follow. Again there’s a tendency you’ll be bored if you’re already an expert in SEO but I still watched it just to make sure I didn’t leave anything out.

The SEO Method Video 3 – David’s SEO Link Building Strategy

In this video, David explains and lays out his SEO strategy. This was a big a-ha moment for me and I just shook my head as he outlined his diagram. I don’t know how he came up with this method but I know that he has done a lot of observation and reverse engineering and basically that’s the closest thing that you can get to ever figuring out how Google ranks web pages.

In this 3rd and final video you’re going to learn the 3 stages of The SEO Method:

• Stage 1 (Ranking) – This is all about getting your web pages to the top of the search engine listings
• Stage 2 (Dominating) – You’ll learn how to dominate and take over the top 10 results for the keyword that you want to rank for (I didn’t even know that this was possible!)
• Stage 3 – If you have plans of taking over a huge market then this will definitely help you.

You don’t really have to implement all of the stages and stage 1 will probably be enough (unless you’re targeting mortgages and credit cards). One very important thing that I’ve learned in this video was how to use articles effectively to start ranking my homepage.

What I Didn’t Like

The quality of the videos were very good but I didn’t really like the video player that David used. Somehow I felt that it was kind of slow in buffering the videos but I didn’t really have any major problems in watching them. A very good alternative that David provided was a link to download the audio files to your computer and a PDF transcription for each.

Also the audio quality isn’t that clear because these strategies were recorded exclusively for David’s team (they had no intentions of selling the videos). Still, this is not really a major deal breaker and what’s important is that I got the exact SEO strategies that David taught to his team.

Conclusion

Even if you’re already a seasoned SEO professional there’s still some things that you could learn from these videos. The SEO Method is about ranking your websites in the long run meaning that the methods involved are all legitimate white hat techniques. What you’re getting is a proven and solid plan from David who did all the hard work for us.

I have no results yet (just bought it last Friday) but I’m really excited in finally having a plan with the strategies from The SEO Method. Everything is ready and I’m going to update this post for future results. My goal right now is to rank my Wealthy Affiliate review page before the end of this month. My Results & Updates

12 / 01/ 09 – First, I didn’t get to rank my WA review page because my attention was focused on ranking my other niche website that has little competition. I didn’t get to exactly follow David Jenyn’s SEO method because of financial reasons but what’s wonderful about his method is that you can replace some of the services that he recommends.

I did manage to sign-up for a service that will automate my linkbuilding efforts because personally building your links by writing and distributing your articles is very time consuming. The SEO Method is about David Jenyn’s personal way of building links and I really learned so much on the overall picture of how search engines rank web pages. One thing to keep in mind if you want to rank in the SERPS is that this process takes too long. This is just how search engines work. If you want traffic quickly then you just have to pay for it through pay-per-click marketing.

One thing that excites me is that this site climbed at a steady rate in rankings for my keywords after following the link building techniques discussed in The SEO Method. I still have a few other sites to rank for and I’m certain that I can rank one of them by the end of this month. I have no choice because I have a short term goal of earning $27 per day on or before Jan. 20, 2010. Wish me luck.

12 / 31 / 09 – Good news everyone! I prepared some keywords for this blog and I’m already on the first page of Google in 4 out of 13 keywords. I based my keywords around the Internet marketing business term. The important term here is business because I assume that people already have the mindset of how serious starting a business can be.

Want Some Proof? Okay, I’m just going to give away one of my keywords. Try searching (in Google) for the term affiliate marketing home business and you’ll see my homepage somewhere in the top 5 rankings. This term doesn’t have lots of monthly searches but I figured that it’s still relevant to what my site is about.

So far with these results, I can only conclude one thing… The SEO Method is the real thing! I had first page results for a few days now and hopefully my homepage will get first page rankings for some of the more competitive keywords with considerable searches in the following days.
