Slow Down Video & Maintain Pitch With Slo-Mo Director

I’ve been a devoted drummer since 2007 and for so many years I’ve been searching for a software that could slow down audio tracks of my favorite drummers. Well after 12 years of searching I’ve found a software that slows down videos and it’s called Slo-Mo Director.

I’m really excited about this software because this is even better than just slowing down audio tracks. I can still remember the time when I was painstakingly recording cassettes just to slow down things. The downside of slowing down audio tracks is that their pitch also changes but since drumming doesn’t really involve pitches and tones, I wasn’t really annoyed by the pitch change.

Just recently my brother (also a drummer but I’m better. haha) showed me how to slow down video on Windows Media Player and I was really satisfied with it. Little did I know that there’s a software that can do a much better job.

Slo-Mo Director is a program to slow down video and it also has the capability to loop and repeat certain sections of a track. The software slows down WMV and AVI video formats. Take note that this is not just for drummers but this software is perfect for any musicians and for visual learners who would love to learn a new skill.

This would also help me tremendously when I’m transcribing drum beats that I’ve stolen from my drum idols. I tend to waste a lot of time and energy when I always rewind a song and so the loop and repeat feature of Slo-Mo Director will make my work so much easier.
