Passive Income Opportunities – The Key To Financial Freedom

I didn’t have any idea about passive income opportunities when I finished college. I remember how relieved I was to finish my studies. I was eager to look for work, gain some experience and earn enough for something to retire on. I worked in a company as a web programmer but I eventually got tired of my daily routine and resigned after working for almost 2 years.

Honestly I didn’t have any entrepreneurial spirit but I realized that I didn’t like the idea of working for someone else and making them rich while they pay me peanuts. I think that’s the time when I seriously considered looking for some passive income opportunities.

According to the Wealthy Affiliate University (here’s my review of Wealthy Affiliate), Internet marketing can be broken down into this simple concept: a consumer and a product. Your role as an Internet marketer is to align these two entities together through your marketing techniques.

If you think that Internet marketing is only for those who are Internet savvy and those that have marketing backgrounds, then you are sorely mistaken. College students, single moms, laid off individuals, retired seniors and almost everyone is having huge success with Internet marketing.

Now maybe you’re thinking how much money you should shell out to get started. Let me explain, there are 2 approaches that you can take to promote products online.

Article Marketing – Writing articles to promote a product or a business has been around for a very long time. This is a FREE marketing method. Basically you only have to write articles that relate to your product and submit them to article directories. The only thing that you have to consider is this method can really take a while before you start seeing some positive results. I seriously recommend this for beginners.

Pay Per Click – Now if you want some fast results, then you have to pay for your website traffic. This is a PAID method. If you search for “make money online” in Google you can see the list of advertisers on the side and at top. These are sponsored links and they only pay if a searcher clicks on their ads. Advertisers will bid for the keywords and that’s going to be the cost for each click.

If you’re a complete beginner I highly suggest that you stay away from PPC. Sure, it can bring you fast traffic but if you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re going to lose a lot of your money. What you can do is start with article marketing (FREE) then re-invest some of your profits to start a PPC campaign.

2 Most Common Forms of Internet Marketing

Performance Based- Also known as CPA (Cost per action) marketing. The consumer doesn’t have to buy anything. They only have to perform some action like filling up a simple form that asks for their email address or their zip code. Commission Per Sale – This is the most common form of marketing. Consumers can either buy your own product or someone else’s product (affiliate marketing).

Take note that you DO NOT NEED to have your own product to become a successful Internet marketer. There are thousands of companies that are looking for affiliates to promote their products online. One good place to start looking for products is the ClickBank Marketplace.

I do believe that it’s one of the best passive income opportunities for anyone who has the determination to really leave the rat race. Please remember that IM is a real business which means that you need to put in some serious amount of work. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme and anyone who tells you that this is easy is just out there to get your money.
