Opening a BDO Dollar Account For Your ClickBank Checks

I believe opening up a dollar account here in the Philippines is the only way you can cash in your dollar checks. If you know any other ways then please share about it in the comments below.

Please take note that I’m not affiliated in any way, shape or form with Banco De Oro (BDO). The only reason why I chose them is that they require the smallest starting fee which is $200. I think Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is asking for $500.

So I borrowed $200 from my girlfriend’s mother and asked my mother to open my dollar account since she knew someone in the bank. The enrollment process is basically straightforward. We just filled up some forms and deposited 200 bucks but we had some issues when they saw my ClickBank checks. I was always worried that I’m going to have some troubles mainly because of the banks not having any idea what ClickBank is and that you can earn money just through the Internet. I’ve even read that bank employees here don’t even know Google! hahaha!

I’m not sure if this is a normal procedure in all BDO branches but they wanted me to provide them a printout of my ClickBank transactions. At first I was really annoyed on their requirements but I guess they’re just strict with dollar accounts. So I printed out some screenshots of my sales transactions and finally I got to deposit my dollar checks. Now I’m just waiting for the checks to clear on the 15th.

After almost 8 months of affiliate marketing, I’m going to finally get a hold of my earnings! Woohoo! It’s not that much but basically I’m just going to reinvest everything back into my business. Maybe I’ll post some earning screenshots on my next post.

Had a similar problem when I had to deposit my Adbrite checks. I first went to BPI and then BDO. Both of them have annoying requirements. Finally settled opening a RCBC USD savings with passbook (The branch manager is a friend of mine).

So from now on, all of my dollar checks goes to RCBC. Sorry for BDO and BPI.

    Cheers!

I also deposit my affiliate earnings in my BDO dollar account. Opening an account in BDO Legazpi was really simple. No hassles. One of the teller is my girl friend’s classmate at Bicol University.

Can I ask you kung eksakto ba ang clearing time nila na 21 days for US Checks? Minsan kasi inaabot ng isang buwan.

So far they’re following the 21 day clearing schedule. I wouldn’t be surprised if sometimes it would take them a month but so far everything’s great.

I only deposit ClickBank checks and my threshold is set at $100. The lowest threshold you can set at ClickBank is $10. When you’re just starting out, most of the time your checks are not going to be that much but who cares? If you continue working on your online business, your dollar checks are only going to increase.
