I Think I Found A Hot Amazon Product!
Many times I would get carried away especially if the dot com version of the domain is available for the keyword that I want. I have committed several mistakes and wasted some money in buying domains that just gather dust.
However, I just saw a physical product yesterday that’s just too good to pass off. In fact, it was so good that I spent the whole day setting up the site and published some content. I even ordered 5 articles so I can start the linkbuilding process over at Ezinearticles.com.
One reason why I say that this product is hot is because the Amazon reviews only started last June 2010 and the last review was only a couple of days ago. It has an average of 4 stars with over 60 reviews so I know that this is a really good product. It also has many related products in the market and they all kinda suck when you compare it to this product. hahaha. Plus, this product costs over $200 which is the price point criteria (over $100) taught in the Deadbeat Super Affiliate.
The domain that I registered was a productnamereview.com for high conversions. Obviously this won’t get a lot of traffic but when I do get traffic, I know that they’re looking to buy the product I’m promoting. I’ll also think about building a new site that targets a broader keyword but this will depend on my results for this product. What’s even more exciting is that when this product becomes widely known then I will funnel all that traffic to my review site.
Right now I only have speculations but I’m really feeling good about this one. Regardless of the results, I’m pretty sure that I’m going to enjoy this one. Wish me luck!

Hi, Raymond- I found your site today and have read some of your reviews and found them interesting and informative. I look forward to reading your report on Affiliate Marketing. I have been floating around the IM area over 6 months and have purchased some guru products, but have not taken any “action” on any of the programs. I think I should have followed your path with signing up with the Wealth Univ. I hope your report gives me the needed incentive for action. Thanks, and I wish you success with your Amazon products and all your IM endeavors.
Thanks Larissa. Hope you can join us over at WA as the grass is greener on the other side. hahaha.
Hi Raymond!
I’ve been looking around amazon and checking google keyword tool for exact match searches for amazonproductreview type keywords, but they all seem REALLY low.. like in the 200-300 range per month.
I think I read on a previous post of yours that someone bought a product about once every 1000 or 2000, at that rate, it could take me 10 months to have one sale!
Have you found that ‘review’ type keywords have a better conversion rate? Would you spend your time on a good promising expensive product that only has 200 or so searches for “product review” a month?
Thanks for sharing so much, your success on amazon brings me a lot of hope!
Kara
Try to look for 1K and above monthly searches (phrase match). Review type keywords are the best keywords that you can rank for because the people who are using those terms are ready to buy. They’re just looking for some reviews to make sure that they’re making a good buying decision. Also anything with a product name as a keyword is a very high converting type of keyword. These type of keywords are in the last stage of the buying cycle.
