Drum Lessons with Jun Regalado

Last week I started to take drum lessons with Mr. Jun Regalado, one of the most top-rated independent session drummers here in the Philippines. After 4 to 5 years of little drumming activity because I have to finish college so I can have some sort of a fallback whenever things didn’t work out for my drumming, I figured out that it would be great to start drumming again with Sir Jun.

Jun Regalado

One of the first thing he asked me was to play a groove so he could hear the crap that I will make. hehehe. But seriously he will point out the inconsistencies in your playing which will make you aware of the sound you’re making with the drums. We then proceeded with wrist stroke studies and some materials that basically lubricated my drumming gills. My first lesson with him started out real good and I know this will be the start of a good drumming comeback for me.

Having a good drum teacher and mentor can really help you a lot especially when seeking advice, how to execute things easier and a lot more. Make an investment to find one because this will help you in the long run.

    Dear Raymond,

How nice of you to respond to my comment promptly. I was so excited to see Nino on Utube for I have known the Regalado family so well during my ten years of recording experience in the Philippines. I have made my music success by the leading of some very prominent sessionist like Sir Jun Regalado, Roger Herera, Rudy Lozano and a alot more! They have all contributed to my successfully launching over 18 music albums before I took a short retirement. But, I have never seen an articulated musical individual like Sir Jun Regalado…I think you know very well the angle from which I am coming from.

Raymond, could you hook me up to a digital recording (home-style) capable of projects via the internet making audio recording like possibly recording my music for releasing and for other purposes. Please let me know and what are your requirement for to assist me in this endeavor.

Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Salamat Po…God Bless

    Sincerely,

    Alexandro Sablan (Saipan)

I just saw this posting. I recently have made an inquiry on one drumming school. I will not disclose the name of it, since i think that’ll be inappropriate.
I’ve been curious about getting myself drum lessons since i really want to be able to read drum notes and to further my drumming skills. I haven’t played drums in many years and I’m hoping to get better with it. Do you have any advice with regards to where i can find a good drumming school which offers cheaper lesson fees?
Your answer would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
